Teen Volunteers

Volunteer Today! The library’s Teen Volunteer Program is a great opportunity for the library and the community’s youth to work to the benefit of both. Students age 12 and up can volunteer to work up to 2 hours per week doing a variety of library work including assisting with processing library materials, maintaining the magazine collections, decorating the building and assisting with the Children’s Summer Reading Program. A series of prizes are awarded to the teens at specific hourly work intervals. The library has benefited greatly from the fresh perspectives and enthusiasm which our teens have brought with them and the students are given an inside view of the operations of the library and the world of community service.
