Library Staff and Volunteers

The Perham Area Public Library has a long history of volunteer commitment. The Women’s Club of Perham organized the library in 1921. From that time until 1978 it was operated solely by volunteer labor. Today 1 full-time librarian, 3 part-time assistants, and 33 volunteers staff the library. Currently, the library volunteers donate approximately 1700 hours of labor each year to help the library offer a wide variety of services to the community.

Library volunteers perform a variety of duties including checking materials in and out, shelving materials, and other special projects.
