The Perham Area Public Library Has a Varied Collection of Materials That Can be Checked Out Unless Otherwise Designated, Including:     
  • Library Study AreaBooks

  • Large Print Books
  • Newspapers (sorry, no check-out)
  • State-Wide Telephone Directories (sorry, no check-out)
  • Videos & DVDs
  • Books on Tape & CD
  • Music Cassettes
  • Compact Discs
  • Software
The Library Also Checks Out a Variety of Useful Equipment Including:
  • Video Cassette Player
  • DVD Player
  • CD/Cassette Payer
  • Slide Projector
  • Overhead Projector
  • Life Jackets
  • Camping Equipment
Some of these items require a $10.00 deposit for check out. Your deposit is returned when the item is returned.
For Use in the Library Building:
  • five public access personal computers with Internet access
  • wireless access for your laptop to the Internet through our Broadband network
  • laptop jacks for Internet access through our Broadband network
  • typewriter
  • viewing and listening stations in media rooms
  • microfilm reader
  • Video Eye print-enlarging machine for those with sight difficulties
  • public meeting room available by reservation or by email library@perham.lib.mn.us  or call (218) 346-4892
  • private study/media rooms
Check-Out Periods
Books: 3 weeks
Books On Tape or CD: 3 weeks
Magazines: 1 week
Music Cassettes or CDs: 1 week
Videos, Documentary or Instructional: 1 week
Videos, All Other: 2 days
Software: 1 week
Equipment: 2 days
Most items can be renewed for a limited period of time in person, by telephone, or by e-mail library@perham.lib.mn.us if 14 digit library card number and title is included with request.
Fines
The Perham Area Public Library does charge fines for overdue, lost and damaged materials.
  • .05 per day past due date on Books, Magazines, Books On Tape, Music Cassettes and CDs and Software.
  • 1.00 per day past due date on Videos (all) and Equipment.
Lost and damaged material charges are determined by library staff based upon the current cost of replacement.
